The SmarTrack 5+ has been tested to the Thatcham S5 standard. The device operates using GPS/GLONASS, GPRS and GSM technology. Having an internal battery backup, the device can remain operational even when the vehicle’s power supply is removed. The device monitors the battery voltage level, ignition status and detects if the correct person is driving the vehicle through the driver recognition system. In the event of a theft, the vehicle can be remotely immobilised via police request.

The S5+ device includes an immobilisation element to the tracking device. In the event of a theft, police may give authority for the Global Telemetrics Secure Control Centre to initiate the remote immobilisation feature and prevent the vehicle from being driven.

Driver ADR (Automatic Driver Recognition) System

A requirement of the S5 Thatcham criteria is that the device must be accompanied by a system which is used to verify the driver of the vehicle is an authorised user.

Driver ID Cards:

For the security conscious, designed to fit in a purse or wallet, credit card sized Driver Detection Card. Fully rechargeable via provided USB charger. If the tracking device does not detect the card's presence in the vehicle an alert will be generated.

Driver ID Tags:

Our new Driver Detection Tag, made for those who crave convenience. Designed to be easily fixable to keyrings and battery powered. If the tracking device does not detect the tag's presence in the vehicle an alert will be generated.

D-iD - Via GTE App:

For the minimalist that doesn’t want to carry tags and cards and would like to self-authenticate the vehicle's safety. Push notifications will be sent through GTE Track when movement is detected within the vehicle. If safe users can dismiss or ignore the notification. If suspicious users can press SOS and be contacted immediately.
